Lucy Graves McVicker lives in Princeton, New Jersey where she has her own studio.
She is also Artist in Residence at the Montgomery Center for the Arts in Skillman,
New Jersey. She has a BA Degree from Principia College and has done post graduate
work at Rutgers University and Parsons School of Design. She is a signature member
of the Philadelphia Watercolor Club, Garden State Watercolor Society, the New
Jersey Watercolor Society, and the Princeton Artists Alliance. Since 1989, her
artworks have been accepted into prestigious national juried shows such as The
American Watercolor Society, Allied Artists of America, Salmagundi Annual, Catharine
Lorillard Wolfe, Adirondack National Exhibitions, and the Audubon Society. Her
work has also been accepted into The Ellarslie Museum, Hunterdon Arts Center,
The Woodmere Museum, Garden State Watercolor Society, Coryell Gallery, Phillips
Mill, Bianco Gallery, New Jersey Watercolor Society, and the Noyes Museum.
In 2004 she exhibited in a two person show at the Coryell Gallery in Lambertville,
New Jersey, participated in a Princeton Artists Alliance show at the Foundation
for Hellenic Culture in New York, NY, and exhibited a painting in California in
a nation-wide juried competition.
In 2003 she won the Purchase Award in the Mercer County College annual juried
show and later received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Montgomery Center
for the Arts. In 2001 She won a Gold Medal at the National Audubon Society show,
and The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Award at the NJ Watercolor Society exhibition.
She has also won six awards at the Garden State Watercolor Society juried shows
including the Bristol-Myers Squibb Purchase Award in 1998.
Her works are in the collection of Johnson and Johnson, DuPont Corporation,
Princeton University, ADP Corporation, ICI Corporation, Rider University, Bristol
Myers Squibb, Capital Health System and many private collections.
