Artist Statement:
I think about energy at its most fundamental level and how it runs between our bodies and our world. I imagine how consciousness infuses physical tissue and wonder what that looks like.

I think about how our bodies are not the separate entities they seem to be. The isolated body is an illusion. I try to picture the fact of that illusion.† I find I can photograph the body in such a way as to make it appear transparent, granular and permeable. I can make it look not so much like itself as a cloud - ephemeral, sometimes luminescent, and insubstantial.
